So, the other day I was considering buying a film camera, here is what I came up with.  Something that iv'e heard many sources say, is that Aardman, the company behind Wallace & Gromit, has used the Mitchell Freis 35mm film camera, I found that on Ebay you can buy it for $3,250-7,000 which is a very reasonable price, for a professional.  The next cameras that I looked at

Ray Harryhausen - DEAD!

Yes, for all who know who Ray Harryhausen is, mourn.  Ray Harryhausen, the animator of the best films imaginable: the original The Clash of The Titans, The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, he worked on films such as Mighty Joe Young, and many others.  His death was announced by Ray's family today


In 1958, when Phil Tippett was seven years old, his parents took him to see a movie at a Theater near his home in Berkeley, California.  The film, The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad, was filled with spectacular special effects and Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion animation.  Phil remembers the day vividly and asserts that the film changed his life.  He fell in love with the spectacle, and was particularly fascinated with the stopmo aspect of it all.  By the time he was thirteen years old, he had spent
